Aqua Dog splashed down at Cockburn Library in Success on Thursday the 28th of March, 2019. Thank you to all the friends, family and community that came to support, the book launched with success!
I finally got to meet the talented illustrator Alison Mutton in person at the launch as all of our correspondence and collaboration for Aqua Dog was via email. Alison has done an amazing job with the illustrations, capturing the West Australian Wheatbelt setting perfectly and bringing Aqua Dog to life.
It was wonderful to be able to sign books with Alison for the event. While I read the story, Alison demonstrated her great drawing skills on the white board by sketching Aqua dog. Children made muddy paw print paintings, created Aqua Dog paper cup crafts and did some colouring in.
